Incident and Ransomware Response Management Delivery Process

If you’re looking to prepare for a ransomware incident to strengthen your cybersecurity incident response and readiness capabilities, we’ve got the team and program in place to support you.

Step 01 Incident & Ransomware Assessment

To establish a benchmark, we begin by understanding your overall business structure and goals. Together we’ll review your existing incident management and readiness program policies and response plan according to organizational requirements, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Next the team will begin gathering existing information security documentation, communication process documentation, and conduct interviews with applicable stakeholders and delegates of the executive team to further understand existing processes.

At the end of the review, you’ll be provided a document highlighting gaps within existing processes specific to ransomware that need to be addressed. This document will also include a roadmap customized to your environment and team capabilities. Once the roadmap is agreed upon by all parties, our team begins projects to address the gaps and secure your environment.
Two playbooks will be designed: the first is for the incident response team to know what to do and what steps to take in the event of an incident. The second playbook is for stakeholders and the executive team to provide the appropriate guidance to help them make informed decisions during an incident.
Training and exercises play a vital role in strengthening cyber response preparedness by allowing response team members and stakeholders to test and validate plans and capabilities. Exercises identify capability gaps, highlighting areas for improvement in response plans and procedures.
